Different types of glass that can be used for a business or home

There are a variety of types of glass doors that can be used either in the home or for a business. When you are selecting glass doors for either the home or business, there are a few things to keep in mind about your glass doors. The following is a list of different glass doors that you have to choose from.

The one thing about glass doors is that the glass doors will update your home or business and will make it more modern or contemporary. Standard wood doors are old fashioned and keep your home or business in the past while the new look is the use of different styles of glass doors for your home or business.

Option One: Frameless sliding glass doors; this type of glass door can be used in a home or business by installing the glass door on to a track that can be either slid to the side of the home or business or the sliding glass door can slide out and fold in or out. This is ideal for a business, mainly as in most homes, the doors can be used. However, the glass can be easily broken with homes that have kids or pets.

Option Two: Beveled glass doors; this style of the door is often times selected for use in the top portion of a home owner’s front door. The glass is cut to a 45 degree angle which allows for a display of color to be displayed when the sunlight catches the glass. This type of glass can be used inside of wooden doors or inside of aluminum front doors.

Option Three: Etched glass doors; the etching of the glass is done by sandblasting or by the use of hydrofluoric acid. The end result is the matte finish of the glass with a specific design. Most home owners chose this form of glass to be used inside of a wood frame for their front door.

Option Four: Pivot glass doors; this form of glass doors does not have a hinge on them in which the door uses to open and close. The glass will have pivot points that it uses to open and close on the top and bottom of the door. The doors are frameless in most cases and can be installed in either the inside of a business or home or can be used on the outside as an exterior door of a business or home. In most cases, the doors are used inside of a business.

Option Five: Stained glass doors; stained glass doors can be used on the inside of a home or business. The use of stained glass can either be a large section of the door or the glass can be a small section of the door. The use of stained glass can be one color or can be a variety of colors.

All of these options are available for use as doors in either a home or business.
